Welcome to the website for the Cumbria Steam Gathering which takes place annually over the last weekend in July. Our home since 1986 has been Cark Airfield, Flookburgh, Grange over Sands LA11 7LS by kind permission of Mr J Latham and Sons.
Having marked 50 years of the Society in 2023, the weekend of July 27th and 28th 2024 will see the 50th Cumbria Steam Gathering organised by members and friends of the Cumbria Steam and Vintage Vehicle Society Ltd and we look forward to welcoming old friends and new either as exhibitors or visitors.
Admission charges for the 2024 rally remain unchanged from previous years and discounted tickets along with public camping passes will be available on line from the beginning of March 2024.
Entries have now closed for the 2024 Steam Gathering. Thank you to everyone who has entered this year, we look forward to seeing you all at the end of July.
Once again we have managed to attract a varied entry of all types of vintage and classic vehicles and machinery along with the new class, introduced last year, for modern trucks.
After an absence of a few years, we are pleased to welcome back the members of the British Lawn Mower Racing team who will be demonstrating their unique version of motorsport over the two days; hopefully kicking up dust rather than mud! A rather unusual and potentially noisy group, the flamboyant Samba Espirito drumming team will also be entertaining us throughout the weekend.
